Vincent Longo, 51, and Pattie Bowman, 47, were cited for harassment in the 4000 block of Miller Avenue, Upper Milford Township, 8:40 p.m. Feb. 2. Longo allegedly made threatening gestures with a spackling knife and Bowman allegedly struck Longo in the face with a cell phone.
An unknown actor sent threatening text messages to a Lower Macungie resident 6 p.m. Feb. 5.
An unknown actor cut several holes in a tire in the 6900 block of Tollgate Road, Upper Milford Township, between 6:30 p.m. Jan. 30 and 8:15 a.m. Jan. 31.
Scott Davis Jr., 29, of Emmaus, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Pennsylvania Avenue at South 10th Street, Emmaus, 11:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Davis was stopped for an equipment violation and was allegedly found to be impaired. The incident is pending court proceedings.
An unknown actor called a Lower Macungie resident multiple times in the early hours of the morning between Jan. 18 and 20.
A 16-year-old female was arrested for simple assault after police were called to a residence in the 600 block of Walnut Street, Emmaus, Jan. 28. The juvenile was charged with assaulting her mother during an alleged domestic disturbance at the residence. The charge will be handled in juvenile court.
An unknown actor stole various items from an apartment in the 100 block of Main Street, Emmaus, Jan. 24. The actor stole an iPod, an iPod docking station, an Xbox 360 and numerous games valued at $450.
Theft from a motor vehicle
Terrence Smith, 35, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI on E. Main and Dalton streets, Emmaus, 1:55 a.m. Jan. 13. Smith was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when his vehicle struck a curb and several mailboxes in the area.
Zachery Muth, 22, was arrested for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest outside of King Coffee, 506 Chestnut Street, Emmaus, Jan. 17. Police said Muth was uncooperative and allegedly spit in an officer's face when he was confronted about lying on the sidewalk outside the business.
In the Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 edition of the East Penn Press, it was incorrectly reported that Patti Shill, 50, of Allentown was charged with access device fraud arising out of an incident involving use of credit cards. She was not charged in this matter. The police investigation in the matter continues. The Press regrets this error.
Furnishing alcohol to minors
Alexzanrea Gerhart, 21, of Macungie, was charged with providing alcohol to minors during a traffic stop on West Main Street, Macungie, 1:30 a.m. Jan. 5. A 17-year-old female was stopped for nearly striking a Macungie Police car while allegedly driving without headlights and distracted. Logan Gerhart, 18, and Corynn Murphy, 20, were allegedly found to be under the influence as passengers in the vehicle. Alexzanrea Gerhart allegedly provided Murphy and Logan Gerhart with alcohol before the incident. The driver was issued multiple traffic violations.
Lehigh County Coroner Scott M. Grim has identified the body of the woman found in a wooded area in Salisbury Township Dec. 27, 2012 as Jennifer Velez-Negron, 26, of Reading.
Her burning body was found in the vicinity of 75 Chestnut Hill Road in Salisbury Township.
An autopsy performed Dec. 28, 2012 showed her death was attributed to suffocation and thermal injuries and her death was ruled a homicide. At the time of the autopsy, DNA samples were collected for identification purposes.
James Flaherty, 35, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI on Cedar Crest Boulevard near Green Drive, Emmaus, after a minor traffic accident Dec. 28, 2012. Flaherty refused chemical testing and charges were filed.
Possession of a prohibited weapon
A 16-year-old male, of Emmaus, was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon in the 500 block of Chestnut Street, Emmaus, Dec. 27, 2012. The actor was allegedly in possession of metal knuckles.
The Salisbury Township Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the white or light-skinned Hispanic female found in a wooded area of Chestnut Hill Road, Salisbury Township, Dec. 27, 2012.
According to District Attorney Jim Martin, the woman was discovered around 9:40 a.m. along the side of the road, just south of the entrance to the Unami Fish and Game Protective Association Inc.
The police are asking for the identity of the indivdual(s) responsible for her death.
