DUI

Matthew Uribe, 23, of Bethlehem, was arrested for DUI on Interstate 78 at mile marker 62.8, Upper Saucon Township, 2:01 a.m. Nov. 18. Uribe was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Matthew Eherts, 20, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI in the Wawa parking lot, 4900 Hamilton Blvd., Wescosville, 4:31 a.m. Nov. 18. Eherts was allegedly under the influence of alcohol while sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle.

DUI

Jonathan Phung Vu, 19, of Macungie, was arrested for DUI on Hamilton Boulevard at Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:02 a.m. Nov. 10. Vu was stopped for a routine traffic violation and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Rebecca Ziegenfus, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI on Shepherd Hills Avenue at Shepherd Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:26 a.m. Nov. 11. Ziegenfus was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

DUI

Blair James Miller, 45, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI at 4th and Jubilee streets, Emmaus, Nov. 2. Miller was allegedly under the influence of alcohol with a .24 percent BAC when he was involved in a minor motorcycle accident.

Annette Lillian Durr, 34, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI in the 100 block of Society Park Court, Emmaus, Nov. 3. Durr was allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol with a .23 percent BAC.

Fatal crash closes Buckeye Road

A fatal accident Nov. 11 has left Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, closed indefinitely as crews work to clean up a fuel oil spill.

According to state police, James Heller, 61, of Macungie, was killed in the crash when his vehicle, traveling westbound on Buckeye Road, struck a tanker truck attempting to turn into the eastbound lane of travel from Tank Farm Road.

PennDOT maintenance crews are partnering with environmental consultants and working to discover the effects of 5,000 gallons of fuel oil spilled in the two-vehicle accident which occurred just before 11 p.m.

Emmaus Police Department Borough departments work together during Hurricane Sandy

Chief David A. Faust said the Emmaus Police Department, Public Works Department, Fire and Ambulance Corps responded to varied calls for service as a result of Hurricane Sandy.

Faust said on Oct. 26 prior to the storm, the borough manager held a meeting with all department heads and command staff to discuss preparedness and strategies for the storm.

Attempted child luring

An unknown actor attempted to lure a child by offering ice cream in the 4600 block of Berwyn Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 7 p.m. Oct. 25. The 9-year-old child ran away and the vehicle left the scene in an unknown direction. The vehicle was reported as a black sedan with possible window tint. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 610-395-1438.

Marivi Cadden, 48, was arrested for DUI on Hamilton Boulevard at Village Round, Lower Macungie Township, 1:05 a.m. Oct. 18. Cadden was stopped for multiple traffic violations and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Addonijah Rossi, 25, of Macungie, was arrested for DUI on Chestnut Street at Cedar Crest Boulevard, Emmaus, 2:53 a.m. Oct. 18. Rossi was stopped for having taillights out and was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Gerald Bogan, 46, of Emmaus, was arrested for DUI in the 300 block of State Avenue, Emmaus, Oct. 13.

Criminal mischief

An unknown actor vandalized a vacant residence with graffiti in the 400 block of Landis Circle, Emmaus, Oct. 14.

Theft of a motor vehicle

An unknown actor stole stereo equipment from a customer's vehicle left overnight at Kelly Ford, 540 State Ave., Emmaus, Oct. 15.

An unknown actor stole an iPhone at Emmaus High School Oct. 16.
