Virginia A. Bush, 67, formerly of Emmaus, died November 26, 2012. She was the wife of the late Robert Bush Jr. and Carl G. Smith. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Arthur S. and Edith Rae (Hubbard) Beller.
She is survived by children, Harold, Timothy, Clarisa and Willard Smith; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale and Arthur Beller Jr.; sister, Arlene Glass.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. Calling hour 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
Jeanne S. Wetzel, 86, of Allentown, died November 25, 2012, in Manor Care, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Wetzel. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Lillian Sechler.
She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Allentown.
She was a member of the Emmaus Senior Citizens, serving as vice president for 20 years. She entertained the seniors, nursing homes, and assisted livings playing the keyboard and church organ.
Betty L. Rader, 90, of Allentown, died November 13, 2012, at LutherCrest. She was the wife of the late Wilbur A. Rader. She was a homemaker. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Fred J. and Eva Louisa (German) Newhard.
She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pennsburg. She was involved with her church as a volunteer, soloist with the choir and Sunday school teacher. Previously, she was a bookkeeper with Branch Motors, Allentown after graduating from the Allentown Business School with an associate degree.
Dorothy Leona Butler, 97, of Emmaus, formerly of Lansdale, died November 22, 2012, at her home. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Chester A. and Bertha (Memminger) Umstead.
She was a member of Lansdale United Methodist Church for 50 years and was also active with Daughters of America.
She served her community as a state counselor.
Norman M. Butz, 89, of Lower Macungie Township, died November 20, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Marion E. (Lohrman) Butz "Dolly." Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late C.M.J. and Eva (Bittenbender) Butz.
He proudly served his country in the Air Force during World War II.
He worked at Mack Trucks prior to acquiring his own business, Butz' Atlantic Service Station, which he owned and operated for 30 years until retiring. He also owned several rental properties.
After his retirement he and his wife traveled across the entire United States.
Christie Dawn Evans-Nuce, 39, of Macungie, formerly of Huntington, W. Va., died November 13, 2012. She was the wife of Andrew Nuce. She was the daughter of Henry Evans of Huntington, W. Va., and the late Mary Adkins Evans.
She graduated from Marshall University and was actively involved in the Shoemaker Elementary PTO.
She is survived by her husband; son, Samuel; very close friend, Ruby Freeman; niece, Alyssa Rose Freeman; very special brother, Charles Evans; sister, Francis Call; two brothers, Mickey Call and Paul Call.
Thaddeus John Tusinski, 42, of Macungie, died November 17, 2012. Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of David and Jo Ann Tusinski, of Seymour, Tenn.
He graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a degree in elementary education. He earned a master's degree in education from Penn State Great Valley.
He taught grade school in the West Chester School District and in the Michigan school system. The last eight years he taught ninth grade algebra at William Allen High School, Allentown.
He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.
Linda L. Lieberman, 66, of Lower Macungie Township, died November 18, 2012, after a three-year battle with Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). She was the wife of Ira Lieberman. They were married for 43 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Gerald W. and Betty J. (Griffith) Geist.
She graduated from Mansfield University and obtained her master's equivalency through studies at Kutztown and Penn State Universities.
She taught home economics at various local schools until retiring from Nazareth High School in 2002.
Bernice E. (Bogart) Miles, 89, died November 20, 2012. She was the wife of the late Robert Miles, who died in 1987. Born in Milton (Northumberland County), she lived in Wescosville most of her life.
She was an active member of Faith Church of Allentown since 1976.
She worked at Daytimers, Lower Macungie for over 20 years.
She is survived by a sister, Shirley and her husband Edward Miller of Milton; two sons, David of Akron, Ohio and Thomas and his wife Carla of Hatfield; grandsons, Bradley, Matthew and Zachary; granddaughters, Kerry, Molly, Alyssa and Nicole.
Walter "Walt" George Denkowski, 60, of Zionsville, died November 22, 2012, in Quakertown. Born in King of Prussia, he was the son of the late Walter and Natalie Denkowski.
He graduated from Upper Merion High School in 1971 and earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology, from Ursinus College, Collegeville in 1975, where he as a member of Beta Sigma Lambda fraternity.
He worked as a key executive at Milliken Valve Company, Bethlehem for 12 years.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and exploring new places and ideas.
