Robert J. Palmer, 82, of Macungie, died March 1, 2018, on his birthday in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Claire L. (Brett) Palmer. They would have been married for 62 years next month. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late William L. Palmer and Margaret V. (Dunne) Palmer.
He was a graduate of Hofstra University in New York.
He was employed by the former F & M Schaefer Brewing Company, retiring in 1994 as warehouse manager from the Stroh Brewing Company, Fogelsville.
John E. Kresley, 77, of Emmaus, died March 2, 2018, at Phoebe Home. He was the husband of Deborah (Pearsall) Kresley. They were married for 26 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Charles and Eva (Hein) Kresley.
He is survived by his wife; children, Kenneth Nesfeder, of Allentown, Patricia Frankenfield, of Whitehall, Judith, of Oklahoma; brother, James, of Allentown and a host of family and friends.

Carolyn E. Schucker, 81, of Lower Macungie Township, formerly of Center Valley, died Feb. 28, 2018, in her home. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. Schucker. Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond E. Myers and Lillian E. (Brown) deGracia.
She was a graduate of Frackville High School.
She was a medical office manager for Ellsweig & Goldman, Allentown, for 11 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a former member of Coopersburg Moravian Church, where she was a former choir member and a former secretary of the women’s auxiliary.
Bonita Louise “Bonnie” Sell, 73, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully Feb. 28, 2018, at home. She was the loving wife of Eugene H. Sell Sr. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Mae (Harris) Shivok.
Currently, she was the parish administrator at St. Thomas More, Allentown. She previously worked as an accountant at Channel 39 WLVT-TV, was employed at the law office of Dower Canahan and the accounting firm of Concannon Gallagher and Miller and Orthopedic Associates.
She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.
Rev. John H. Riggall, 101, formerly of Macungie, died Feb. 3, 2018, in Fellowship Terrace. His first marriage of 40 years was with Marianne McKnight Riggall, who died in 1980. In 1981, he married Dorith E. Allen, who was married for 30 years to Rev. Russell T. Allen, a former Bible Fellowship pastor, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1979.
Margarete Eleanor Holt Parker, died peacefully Feb. 5, 2018, after a brief illness at the Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. She was the wife of Desmond Risley Parker. They were married for 64 years. Born of German immigrant parents, she was the daughter of Gustav and Elfriede Holt, of Long Beach, N.Y.
She graduated from Long Beach High and attended the Mt. Sinai School of Nursing, New York City.
She worked as a registered nurse at South Nassau Communities Hospital for 35 years.
Ryszard Rokicki, 62, of Emmaus, died Feb. 18, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the beloved husband of Malgorzata E. (Przyziolkiewicz) Rokicki. They would have celebrated 17 years of marriage on Feb. 22. Born in Torun, Poland, he was the son of the late Mieczyslaw C. and Eugenina (Basarewska) Rokicki.
He was the owner of Electrobright in Macungie for about the last 30 years. He was an ambitious inventor and held several patents in the electropolishing metal field.
Randy L. Helfrich, 60, of Lewes, Del., formerly of Macungie, died Feb. 14, 2018, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Grace E. (Schmoyer) and Ray Helfrich Sr.
He attended Emmaus High School,
During his time in Pennsylvania, he worked as a laborer in manufacturing and in construction and other seasonal positions. Upon moving to Lewes, he worked as a farmhand as well as at the produce stand of the farm. His last place of employment was as a road service tech for Wiedmann Towing.
Aaron J. Oleksa, 34, of Macungie, died Dec. 16, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, after a long illness. He was a resident of Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Center, Bethlehem, for the past three years. He was the son of Brenda and Joel Oleksa, of Summerfield, Fla.
He was a 2001 graduate of Emmaus High School and a 2007 graduate of Penn State University.
He had a passion for film and video. He frequently visited Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays and greatly enjoyed the sport.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Elizabeth and beloved nephew Logan, both of Macungie.
Shirley Mae Keiser, 87, formerly of Macungie and Bradenton, Fla., died Feb. 6, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Walter W. Keiser. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Estelle (Mink) Wirth.
She is survived by siblings, Alice Bowman, Dale Wirth and Nancy Althouse; nieces and nephews.
