Jean Reeder Baginsky, 66, of Exton, died peacefully Nov. 27, 2017, after a long illness. She was the wife of Walter Baginsky for 33 years. She was a daughter of the late Leon and Mabel Reeder.

She was a cosmetologist and owned her own salon, Royal Touch, in Alburtis. She taught cosmetology at Empire Beauty School for six years and at Folcroft VoTech school for 34 years.

She was active in the Lutheran church and at one time played the organ at Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.

She loved to travel and her favorite place to visit was Alaska. She also loved to knit and sew.

Ann M. Walter, 91, of Emmaus, died Dec. 5, 2017, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Ralph L. Walter. Born in Olean, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Matylas) Coplak.

She was the bookkeeper and vice president of Ralph J. Walter Electric for many years, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of Zion’s Reformed U.C.C., Allentown, serving as the secretary of the woman’s guild.

Doris Ruth (Kelley) Schneck, 97, of Salisbury Township, died Dec. 3, 2017, in the Trexler Wing of the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Arthur H. Schneck with whom she co-owned Art Schneck Optical Co. of Emmaus and Allentown. She was also predeceased by son Donald R. Schneck who owned the optical company after Arthur Schneck retired.

She was the daughter of the late Henry Kelley and Beulah (Mackes) Kelley.

James Kelley, 84, of Allentown, died peacefully surrounded by his family Nov. 20 2017. He was the husband of Carol Kelley. They were married for 58 years. Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late Irvin and Nellie Kelley.

He was a veteran of the Korean War.

He graduated from Pennsylvania State University and earned his master’s degree in city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Juliana Collette, 97, died Nov. 30, 2017, in the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Collette. Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Mathias and Juliana (Pfeiffer) Graf.

Before retiring, she worked for the former Cands Fabric Company, Western Electric and Clyde Shirt Factory.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

She enjoyed celebrating her rich heritage, sharing her love of ethnic food and polka music with her family. She was a lifelong Phillies fan and delighted in watching her grandchildren.

Peter T. Kalandiak, 92, of Emmaus, died Nov. 14, 2017, at Cedarbrook, Allentown. He was the son of the late John and Anna Kalandiak. Orphaned at a very young age, he was brought up by his late aunt, Anastasia Turczyn and her daughter, Mary Turczyn.

He was an economic development consultant with PPL for 33 years, retiring in 1986.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Bethlehem and St. Stephen Orthodox Cathedral, Philadelphia. He was an active member of St. Nicholas Senior Citizens.

John P. Panczyszin

John P. Panczyszin, 65, of Macungie, died Nov. 30, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Rachel A. (Rack) Panczyszin, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage this past Nov. 20. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Kuzma) Panczyszin.

He was last employed by Tyco/formerly the Central Sprinkler Co., as a financial accountant. Prior to that he worked in the same capacity for both Mack Truck, Inc. and Ingersoll-Rand, Inc.

He enjoyed photography and was the owner and operator of Lasting Impression Photography for many years.

She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Allentown. She was also a former member of Mary Livingston Chapter #167 Order of the Eastern Star, where she received her Gold Pin for 25 years of membership.

He was the husband of Louise Dillensnyder. They were married for 26 years last June. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John E. Dillensnyder Jr. and Dolores A. (Balliet) Dillensnyder.
