Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, is offering a variety of noncredit fitness classes this semester.

The following classes will take place at LCCC's main campus, unless noted otherwise.

·Ballroom Sampler I: 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 1 to 22;

·Ballroom Sampler II: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 to March 18;

·Ballroom Latin III: from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 9 to 30;

·Couch Potato: 7 to 7:45 p.m. March 21 to April 25;

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am currently a senior at Emmaus High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: I think my favorite subject has to be AP physics, which is a calculus based physics class. I enjoy the ability to work through the difficult problems presented in the course. I also enjoy the class environment due to the fact that everyone taking the course also enjoys the subject material.

First honor society at Penn State LV

Penn State Lehigh Valley celebrated the installation of the Alpha Zeta Pi chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, international honor society in education, during a ceremony at Iron Lakes Country Club, 3625 Shankweiler Road, North Whitehall Township.

It's the first education honor society to be established at the campus and only the third Kappa Delta Pi chapter in The Pennsylvania State University system.

Emmaus High School will hold their Winter National Letter of Intent Signing event 1 to 2 p.m. in the EHS auditorium. Highly talented East Penn athletes will announce the colleges they plan to attend.

Beekeepers cite LCCC as educational advocate for their association

The Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association recently cited Lehigh Carbon Community College for their support of beekeeping and beekeepers in the Lehigh Valley.

LCCC President Donald W. Snyder was on hand recently to accept the award from Association President Steve Finke, of Kutztown, as well as to offer the facility's continued support of the various beekeeper programs held on campus.
