Video games take the stage in concert

"Video Games Live," a concert featuring music from the most popular video games of all time, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. July 14, Miller Symphony Hall, 23 N. Sixth St, Allentown.

The show, with a 30-date tour that includes stops in Shanghai and Beijing, China, and the first Middle East video concert in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, began June 27, and was created and is produced by Tommy Tallarico, who hails from Springfield, Mass.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury was the place to be for "HayDay! Growing in Friendship with Jesus" the curriculum for this year's Bible school. Approximately 25 students attended Bible school learning Bible verses describing friendships. Bible school included hog wild games, Bible adventures, crafts and more.

24th Moravian Music Festival

Seven days of concerts will be presented for the 24th Moravian Music Festival, 7:30 p.m. July 14 - 20, Central Moravian Church, 73 W. Church St., and Moravian College Hurd Campus, Main and Church streets, both Bethlehem.

Moravian Music Festivals, last held in Bethlehem in 1992, are held every four years and feature almost 300 Moravian musicians from the United States and Canada.

Sixth Street Shelter expansion outlined

Allentown's Sixth Street Shelter Director Jessica R. Dreistadt hosted local supporters, community leaders, volunteers and donors to unveil a new, in-progress expansion of the homeless family shelter at 221 - 223 N. Sixth St., Allentown.

When construction is complete, expected to happen in October, five apartments will be added to the existing 20 apartments in the building operated by Sixth Street Shelter.
