Zolton J. Kortvely, 85, of Wescos-ville, died May 21, 2013. He was the husband of Joanne (McKee) Kortvely. They were married for 60 years this past October. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Deak) Kortvely.
He attended Allentown High School, Class of 1945, and then served with the Coast Guard and the Army, as a tank commander, achieving the rank of sergeant.
He obtained a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee in 1959.
Ruth Zacharda, 61, of Emmaus, died May 26, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice. She was the wife of Jack W. Zacharda and the late Terry L. Miller. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Helen (Godusky) Rohrbach of Emmaus and the late Roger Rohrbach.
She was a clerk at the Emmaus Bakery.
She was a member of St. Peter's Union Church, Macungie.
She was a former member of the Lower Lehigh Lioness Club and Citizens Fire Co. #2 Ladies Auxiliary.
Richard P. Savaki, 66, of Emmaus, died May 22, 2013, at home. Born in the American Sector, Berlin, Germany, he was a son of the late Kathleen (Milsom) and August Joseph Savaki.
He was involved in the automotive industry throughout his life.
He is survived by daughters, Jacqueline Tittus of Quakertown, Leeann M. Bossoms of Whitehall; son, August J. of Allentown; brothers, John Stainer of California, William of West Portal, N.J.; companion, Joanne DeLong of Macungie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Ronald "Larry" P. Henry, 72, of Macungie, died in his residence on May 20, 2013. Born in Allentown, he was the husband of Cleo (Engleman) Henry. He was the son of the late Dorothy Henry.
He was employed as a truck driver at various places, most recently working at Love Homes.
Carole S. Bosch, 69, of Wescosville, died May 20, 2013, at home. She was the wife of the late Gerard Bosch, who died in May, 1996. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Arbutus (Gross) Stephens.
She was a supervisor of housekeeping at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township since it opened, retiring in 2009.
After retirement, she devoted her time to her family and pets.

Evelyn L. Wieder, 94, of Northampton, formerly of Emmaus, died May 20, 2013, surrounded by her family, in her home. She was the wife of the late Frederick C.O. Wieder who died September 18, 2000. Born in Vera Cruz, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Daisy (Ringer) Kuehn.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus and was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1937.
She was employed by Rodale Manufacturing for 32 years until her retirement.

The Afterball was hosted by S.T.E.P., the parent organization that provides a safe environment for the seniors after the senior ball. Parents and other adults helped chaperone and provided food and prizes for the students.
