The Macungie Farmers Market will be open 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through October except Aug. 27 at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 North Poplar St.
Macungie Pool will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day. On weekdays there is toddler time 11 a.m. to noon. Swim lessons are available. For information, call 610-966-5757.
There will be a Wheels of Time Cruise Night 5 to 10 p.m. Aug. 15 at Macungie Memorial Park. Cars can start arriving at 3 p.m. Refreshments will be available.

The bicycle/wagon parade begins 10 a.m. There will be a duck race in the creek 11 a.m. Macungie Band will perform 11:30 a.m. in the bandshell. There will also be games and contests for children as well as the annual Bear Swamp Derby/Firecracker 500. Bring your own matchbox type car or purchase one at the picnic. The fire department and ambulance corps will have equipment on display. Macungie Pool will host events outside the pool 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Lower Macungie Pool will be open noon to 8 p.m. daily. The pool will close 4:45 p.m. June 22 and 25 and July 9 and 13 for swim meets. A summer kickoff party will be held 1 to 5 p.m. June 28 featuring D.H. Productions Dip-N-Dance 1 to 3 p.m. and a magic show by Tom Yurasits 4 p.m. There will be a Wildlands Conservancy presentation 2 p.m. July 12. There will be a Dip-N-Dance 5 to 7 p.m. July 17. The Lower Macungie Library summer reading club, "Every Hero has a Story," will begin registration 9 a.m. May 30. There will be programs for school age superheroes in kindergarten through seventh grade Tuesdays June 23 to July 28. Reading incentive programs are available for pre-readers, independent readers and teen readers. Drop-by preschool storytimes will be held 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There will also be family fun nights on Mondays from June 22 to Aug. 3. Teen Time will be offered Thursdays.
The Macungie Farmers Market will hold the ninth season grand opening 4 to 7 p.m. May 14. The market features local family farmers providing homegrown food: fruits, vegetables, meat products, eggs, baked goods, plants and more. The farmers market will be open 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through October except Aug. 27. Parking is available at the park parking lot and along North Walnut Street.
Lower Macungie Community Center will hold the fifth annual Community Day 4 to 8 p.m. May 5. Smokey Bear and other characters will be there to welcome residents. There will also be face painting, a moon bounce, the Lower Macungie Clown Club, a petting zoo, photo booth and light refreshments.
Egg decorating for the Easter egg hunt will take place 9 a.m. April 4 at Macungie Memorial Park.
There will be photos with the Easter Bunny 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4 at the Flower Park. The event is sponsored by the Town Beautification Committee.

The Lower Macungie Library will celebrate National Library Week April 12 to 18.
As part of the week's celebration, Ann Bartholomew of the Lower Macungie Township Historical Society will give a presentation on local history 6 to 7 p.m. April 15. Copies of Bartholomew's book, "A History of Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania," will also be available for purchase. Registration is required.
Macungie Bears Swim Team will host a Meet the Team event noon to 2 p.m. March 21 at Emmaus High School Pool. Swimmers interested in joining the team are welcome to come and meet the team and coaches.
