Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I’m a senior at Emmaus High School.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject has to be physics. It feels like a very pure science, where you ask a question about the universe, and then you just go out there and test it. It’s also really broad in that you can study physics and want to learn how to make buildings or what happens when you jump in a black hole. It’s fascinating from the big to the small. Also Mr. Ohl is a fantastic teacher, passionate and intelligent.

A. My favorite subject is science. Whether it is biology, chemistry or physics, I always find the content extremely fascinating. Learning how the universe and everything in it works is both fun and interesting. The reason why I love these classes so much is that I can easily see their applications to the world around us. I have also had fantastic teachers that helped foster my interest in science during these last four years.

Thursday, March 1, 2018 by BEVERLY SPRINGER in Local News

A group of residents of the Meadows Apartments in Emmaus and their friends spent Feb. 20 observing Hoodie Hoo Day. This year’s activities were expanded to include several surprises.

“Hoodie Hoo,” which occurs one month before the official start of spring, is a tongue in cheek celebration intended to drive away winter and lift the spirits.

Like “Jingle Bells,” “America the Beautiful” and “Here Comes Peter Cottontail,” songs long associated with seasonal celebrations, the “Hoodie Hoo Marching Song” has become the holiday’s newly adopted anthem.
