Township police ready for Via Marathon

The Salisbury Township Police Department is again ready to handle the Lehigh Valley Health Network Via Marathon.

The race starts at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 7, Lehigh Valley Hospital, passes the Lil Le Hi Trout Hatchery and goes through Lehigh Parkway. Opening ceremonies are at 6:40 a.m.

Salisbury Township Chief of Police Allen W. Stiles briefed township commissioners about the Via Marathon at the Aug. 14 meeting.

EMMAUS POLICE DEPARTMENT Armed robber enters Lafayette Ambassador Bank; police ask for public's assistance

The Emmaus Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying an armed robber who entered the Lafayette Ambassador Bank, 402 State Ave., Emmaus, 10:07 a.m. Dec. 16.

According to police, the actor entered the bank armed with a handgun and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries reported inside the bank.
