Viking Fest date announced for 2020

Allentown Central Catholic High School has announced the 17th annual Viking Fest 2020 will return to Rockne Hall May 2, 2020. Viking Fest is the most important fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from this event provide valuable funding for major campus renovations, enhancements to technology and curriculum and upgrades to security.

Vikette soccer’s season ended when they fell to Northwestern 2-0. Congratulations on a great season.

Congratulations to our cross country runners Nathan Harris and Isabel DeVos who competed in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. Cross Country State Championship in Hershey. Izzy earned a medal by placing 25th. This is the second year in a row she has medaled at states.

In support of Jaden Leiby, a football player for North Schuylkill High School who recently was hurt, ACCHS sponsored a Blue Out and fundraiser during the Central vs. Saucon Valley game. Vikings defeated Saucon Valley, 42-18. They competed in the District XI football semifinal against Northwestern.

ACCHS’ Best Friends Forever Club enjoyed a fun afternoon of Halloween games and activities with friends at the Mercy School For Special Learning.

The Class of 2020 began senior week with a class Mass at Sacred Heart Church, breakfast and a group photo. Themed days were held including Color Day, Space Day, Costume Day and Career Day. In addition, activities including movie night, a scavenger hunt and Senior Olympics were also enjoyed.
