Explosives

A media release from Emmaus Police Department detailed the following incident:

At approximately 4:30 p.m. July 5, the Emmaus Police Department executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Delong Avenue in relation to an investigation involving information that a homeowner possessed explosive materials.

The residence was cleared and there is no threat to the public.

The Emmaus Police were assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Allentown Bomb Squad and the Upper Macungie Township Police and South Whitehall Township Police K-9 Units.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released by the Emmaus Police Department at this time.
