Christmas tree collection Jan. 7

The Macungie Public Works Crew will collect Christmas trees Jan. 7 for recycling at the Emmaus Compost Center. All ornaments, lights and tinsel must be removed.

The Parkland Art League will hold its next meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at St. Anne’s Episcopal, 6667 Lower Macungie Road, Trexlertown. Guest artist Elena Shackleton will give a demonstration in watercolor. For more information, visit sites.google.com.site/parklandartleague or parklandart@gmail.com.

Grace Lutheran Church will host a free community meal 5-7 p.m. Jan. 11. The church is located at 28 W. Main St.

Concordia Lutheran Preschool will have a registration day open house to enroll students for the 2019-2020 school year 9:30-11:30 a.m. Jan. 21. The staff will give tours and accept registrations. For more information, call 610-965-3265.

Concordia Lutheran Preschool will hold its annual spaghetti dinner and auction Jan. 26. Tickets can be purchased by calling the church office at 610-965-3265.

The Lower Lehigh Lions will meet 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and 22 at the Macungie Institute.

Macungie Fire Company meets 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at its social quarters.

Macungie VFW Post 9264 meets 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at the post home on Lehigh Street.

The VFW Auxiliary of Macungie VFW Post 9264 meets 1 p.m. Jan. 17 at the post home.

Macungie Rod and Gun Club Board meets 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at the club.

Macungie Borough Council meets 7:30 p.m. Jan. 7 and 21 and Feb. 4 at the borough hall, 21 Locust St., Macungie.

The Macungie Park Board of Directors meeting will be held downstairs 7 p.m. Jan. 29. The public is welcome.

Bingo is held weekly Saturday evenings at Macungie Memorial Park. Doors open 4:30 p.m. and games begin 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 610-966-4289.
