LV Legion announces all-stars

The Lehigh Valley American Legion Baseball League announced its 2018 All-Star team last week.

The players selected will compete against their Berks-Schuylkill League counterparts in a showcase event July 9 at First Energy stadium in Reading, home of the Reading Fightin’ Phils.

The following players were selected at Lehigh Valley League All-Stars for this season. The first player listed at each infield position and the first three outfielders listed have been selected as starters. The starting pitcher will be determined later.

Catchers: Zachary Bilder (Coplay), Tyler Wiik (Nothern Valley), John Barto (North Parkland)

First Base: Alexander Bruneio (Coplay), Andrew Brosious (North Parkland)

Second Base: Noah Snisky (Carbon Monarchs), Matthew Madigan (Emmaus)

Third Base: Jacob Lisicky (Coplay), Collin Haupt (Carbon Monarchs)

Short Stop: Justin Welch (Northern Valley), Ryan Kasye (Lower Macungie)

Outfield: Ryan Miller (Salisbury), Robert Roman (Lower Macungie), Adam Mellinger (South Parkland), Bradley Buzzard (Carbon Monarchs), William Algard (North Parkland), Trevor Schreiner (Northern Valley)

Designated Hitter: Zachary Hamscher (Coplay)

Pitchers: Jacob Paashaus (Coplay), Justin Marykwas (Carbon Monarchs), Koby Staivecki (South Parkland), Ryan King (Nothern Valley), Jacob Dyche (Southern Lehigh), Collin Duff (North Parkland), Wilbert Gil (West Allentown), Andrew Sukanick (Salisbury), Adam LeMaster (Lower Macungie), Dylan Lehman (Emmaus)
