Margaret Lush, 91, of Lower Macungie Township, died June 26, 2018 in Blough Health Care Center, Bethlehem. She was the wife of John Lush for 52 years before his passing in 2001. Born in Herdorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Stinner.
She came to the United States at age four, settled in Allentown and eventually became an American citizen at the age of 16. A 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School and 1946 graduate of the Allentown Business School, Margaret worked for an insurance company in Allentown prior to her marriage. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her world. For 30 years, she assisted her husband in his business, The Pennsylvania Restaurant, until he retired in August 1983.
When she was not with her family, she did love to dance professionally and socially. Margaret was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown and a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County.
She is survived by sons, Dr. David and his wife Karyn, of Penn Valley, John and his wife Lynda, Michael, and Joe, all of Upper Macungie Township; six grandchildren; three great- grandchildren and many cousins in Germany. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carol M. Lush Badesso on July 19, 2009.
