Navy veteran

Lois E. Kirschner, 86, of Macungie, died Jan. 28, 2018, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown campus. She was the wife of Charles Clayton Kirschner. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Walter Webster and Mary (Bell) Stowman

She worked for Harleysville Insurance Company, retiring in 1997.

She was a member of Lehigh Valley Baptist Church.

She honorably served her country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Mary-beth and her husband Kyle Gery, of Schwenksville; son, Charles C. Jr. and his wife Linda, of Allentown; grandchildren, John, Salli, Harley, Audra and Crystal; four great-grandchildren; nieces, Lynn Dittrich and Leigh Cayse.

Contributions may be made to the church.

A funeral service with military honors will be held 10 a.m. Feb. 3 at Lehigh Valley Baptist Church, 4702 Colebrook Ave., Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
