of Lower Macungie Township

Francis J. Coppola, 75, of Lower Macungie Township, died Jan. 23, 2018, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Carol A. (Prydybasz) Coppola. They were married for 46 years last September. Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Fredicine) Coppola.

He worked as a corporate tax analyst at Air Products and Chemicals, Trexlertown, until retiring.

He was a graduate of DeSales University and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was a member and longtime usher at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was an avid history buff who loved reading his newspapers! He also loved spending time with his family, playing with his “grand dogs” and his Thursday night pool group with his neighborhood friends. His granddaughter was the light of his life for the past six years.

He is survived by his wife; son, Michael F., of Lower Macungie Township; daughter, Gina M. and her husband Casey Tomlinson, of Lower Macungie Township; sisters, Jean Taylor, of Vero Beach, Fla. and Rosanne Guadagino, of Easton; granddaughter, Giuliana M. Tomlinson; several nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, 18103.

Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
