William H. Moyer Jr.
William H. Moyer Jr., 65, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully in his home Jan. 20, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Karen A. (Moyer) Moyer for 39 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William H. and Sadie R. (Carl) Moyer.
He graduated from William Allen High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering technology from the Pennsylvania State University and served as a missile maintenance specialist in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era.
For the past 18 years, he worked as a senior supplier quality engineer at Drager Medical Systems, Inc., while finding success in many entrepreneurial ventures.
In the community, he was an advocate and dedicated fundraiser for multiple sclerosis research and supporter of youth sports, playing the role as coach to scorekeeper for his children and grandchildren.
He was a fervent Penn State, Philadelphia and local sports fan.
He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
He is survived by his wife; children, Betty K. and her husband Michael Terry, of Barnesville, Jeremy M. and his wife Stephanie, of Moseley, Va., Jarrett A. and his wife Jessica, of South Hadley, Mass.; five grandsons, one granddaughter and one grandson on the way; brother, Barry W. and his wife Sue, of Blandon; sister, Sandra A. Bordner and her partner Tim DeLeon, of Catasauqua; sister-in-law, Donna, of Whitehall. He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis R.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, 18049. Call 9:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 27 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
