Larry Q. Sicher, 74, of Warminster Township, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 1, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of Andrea E. (Beltz) Sicher. They celebrated 55 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Quinton and Lucille (Herman) Sicher.

He worked at Rodale Manufacturing in Emmaus before joining the U.S. Navy, serving for over 20 years. He was with one of the first groups to spend a year in Antarctica at McMurdo Station. He went to Antarctica again aboard the icebreaker ship USS Edisto. He later made several Mediterranean tours aboard the supply ship USS Sylvania, serving as chief helicopter crewman. After retiring from the Navy, he worked as a civil service employee and contractor for 10 years. He then became a school bus driver for 15 years for the Centennial School District, where he enjoyed participating in the safety competitions.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, doing things with his grandchildren and taking his nieces and nephews to the park.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Selina M. and her husband Randy Bryant; son, Larry A. and his wife Tracy; four grandchildren; brothers, Dennis H. and his wife Mary and Dean M. and his wife Debbie. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael D.
