James L. Laudenslager, 78, of Allentown, died in his home Dec. 13, 2017. He and his partner, Walter N. Groff celebrated 54 years together on Aug. 13. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Robert M. and Anna M. (Andrews) Laudenslager.

He was the owner of the former J. Louis Hair Styles, Emmaus for 50 years until 2000. After selling his business, he worked part time for Anne & Co. Beauty Salon, Emmaus, until the beginning of this year.

He was a member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School.

He was a world traveler and an avid cut glass collector and was a member of the Cut Glass Association.

He is survived by his partner; siblings, Jean Meck, of Emmaus, Edgar and his wife Jean, of Allentown, Joyce Warmkessel, of Allentown and his twin, Jane and her husband Larry Shipe, of Allentown; sisters-in-law, Jackie and Gertrude Anderson; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Carl.
