Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 meeting noon at St. Timothy Evangelical Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. Program begins 1 p.m. with the Lehigh Valley Pops Orchestra. AARP Chapter #4150 Christmas party noon in the community room of the Lower Macungie Library, 3450 Brookside Road. Guests are welcome. Tickets are required for the Christmas party. For more information, call 610-285-4563.

Dec. 9

Old Zionsville UCC, Kings Highway and Fountain Road, Old Zionsville will host its annual cookie walk 8 a.m. to noon. Handmade toys also available for sale. A white elephant sale will be held in the upper social hall during the same time with tons of bargains and stocking stuffers. For more information, call 610-966-3601.

Macungie Holiday will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Local businesses, the historical society and Macungie Memorial Park participate in this borough-wide event. The Macungie Institute will feature farmers market vendors, Boy Scout displays and food and Santa, Mrs. Claus and Jasper the Bear for photos. There will also be a breakfast with Santa, scavenger hunt, horse drawn surrey rides, Nutcracker highlights performed by Coral’s Academy of Dance and gingerbread displays at Kalmbach Park. Christmas at the Bortz Log House, 5047 Hamilton Blvd. 4 to 7 p.m. Tours of the candle-lit house, warm drinks, cookies and harp music will be included in the event which is free and open to the public.

Dec. 11

The League of Women Voters of Lehigh County presents “Eliminating Income Disparity” at the December Hot Topics Luncheon. Toni Hoffman and Susan McNamara, past public policy chairs, American Association of University Women, will present ways we can close the gender wage gap in the Lehigh Valley. The public is welcome.
