Patrick J. Donmoyer, director of the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University, is the featured speaker at the event. Donmoyer discussed the importance of barns in area history. Donmoyer holds a flail, a tool used to thrash wheat.
The new museum features displays on the history of the Lower Macungie Township and includes artifacts such as farm equipment.
Musician Ted Williams entertains visitors to the new museum.
