Two Hornets make first team in volleyball

The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference recently announced it’s 2017 girls volleyball all-star team.

Emmaus had two players named to the first team and two on the second team.

Junior Caroline Bond and senior Adelina Woolard-Rivera earned places on the EPC First Team, while senior Georgia Traynor and sophomore Macy Van Den Elzen earned second-team recognition.

Rachel Hess of Central Catholic was named the league’s MVP this season.

The following are this year’s Eastern Pennsylvania Conference girls volleyball all-stars:

FIRST TEAM

Rachel Hess (Central Catholic), Caroline Bond (Emmaus), Maria Harding (Nazareth), Grave Mittle (Liberty), Kristen Spingler (Whitehall), Adelina Rivera-Woolard (Emmaus), Lina Perugini (Liberty), Grace Steurer (Parkland).

SECOND TEAM

Julia Roman (Freedom), Macy Van Den Elzen (Emmaus), Mia Jago (Parkland), Kelly Austin (Nazareth), Georgia Traynor (Emmaus), Megan Nelson (Central Catholic).

THIRD TEAM

Julia Burcin (Liberty), Emily Quinn (Nazareth), Kyleigh Brown (Bethlehem Catholic), Leanna Deegan (Easton), Hailey Silfies (Freedom), Kirah Dreisbach (Parkland).
