Carol A. Conway
Carol Ann Conway, 80, of Emmaus, died peacefully in her home May 11, 2017. She was the wife of Walter R. Conway. Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Bortzel) Brahler, of Pottsville.
Known as “CC” by her grandchildren and family, she was an incredible mother, homemaker, wife, friend and grandmother.
Before marrying and raising her family, she was a medical technologist at Pottsville Hospital. After raising her family she worked at the Bon-Ton department store and The Women’s Health Center of Allentown.
She volunteered as a “Lunch Lady” at St. Thomas More Catholic School.
Besides spending time with her large family, she was a fabulous cook, avid gardener and enjoyed reading, walking and bird-watching.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Catherine (Mark S.) Steiner, of Emmaus, and granddaughter, Carlie Steiner, of Washington, D.C.; son, Timothy E. (Krystina B.); grandsons, Peter, Adam and Sam; son, Christopher (Kristen C.) grandsons, Ian and Teagh; son, John F. (Dawn H.); granddaughters, Ailish, Adderyn and Aoibhinn; son, Matthew (Jodey C.); granddaughter, Madeline and grandson, William; brothers Frederick Brahler, Joseph Brahler and Richard Brahler; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Edward Brahler and sisters Mary Louise Moran and Joan Glosser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. May 17 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. May 17 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
