Emmaus High School musical ensembles began spreading the Christmas cheer last week.

On Dec. 2, acapella groups Fermata Nowhere and Accabella, as well as choral group Select Choir performed at Lehigh Country Club, the first performances of the season.

On Dec. 8, EHS held its annual choral concert which features groups such as Select Choir, girls and boys choir, and Chorale.

On Dec. 11, the band will perform a winter concert. The program will feature the symphonic and jazz bands, as well as the percussion ensemble.

The senior breakfast will be held Dec. 18. Seniors will be dismissed from classes 9 a.m. The breakfast, catered by 29 cooks, will also feature a gift card raffle.

On Dec. 22, representatives from Lehigh Career and Technical Institute and Penn State University will visit during period two to explain the Emerging Health Professionals program, offered to juniors for the 2016-2017 school year.

Emerging Health Professionals is a program offering high school seniors the opportunity to take courses at Penn State Lehigh Valley for college credit. The program also allows students to experience a true hospital setting. Students spend three days a week rotating through different departments in the three Lehigh Valley Health Network facilities.

Interested students should stop by the counseling suite to register for the presentation.
