"Fantasia" Live: Mickey Mouse gets more help than he bargained for in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" segment of Walt Disney's "Fantasia," above. The Pennsylvania Philharmonic recreates the classical music score for the animated feature film, 2 p.m. Jan. 4, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. Baum exhibit: "Current Impressions: The Printmakers Society of the Lehigh Valley" opens with a reception, 6 - 8 p.m. Jan. 7 and continues through Feb. 3, The David E. Rodale and Rodale Family Galleries, Baum School of Art, 510 Linden St., Allentown. The exhibition includes "We All Come from the Goddess" (Collagraph), above, by Richard Redd, who founded PSLV in 2013. "Our members represent top area colleges and universities, as well as printmaking artists making a fresh contribution to the greater fine arts community of the Lehigh Valley," said print artist and PSLV spokesperson Kay Frederick. Many of the PSLV artists are expected to be in attendance at the reception, which includes wine, beverages and light fare, and is free and open to the public. New Year's Eve: The sixth annual Peepsfest at SteelStacks, Bethlehem, includes the "drop" of a 4.5-foot tall, 85-pound lit Peeps Chick at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 31 to commemorate the beginning of a sweet new year. Events 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Dec. 31 include We Kids Rock, Bethlehem Mounted Police Horses Pharoah and Raven, Lehigh Valley Zoo animals, including a penguin, Dutch Springs dog sled presentation, Lehigh Valley Phantoms "hockey shootout," photo opportunities with Peeps Chick, Phantoms' mascot meLVin, PBS39 TeleBear and other mascots, Peepsmobile, Peeps Chick ice sculpture, Peeps diorama displays by area school children, Peeps crafts and other activities provided by nonprofit groups, films ("How Peeps are Made," "Sesame Street New Year's") and a Peepsfest 5K, Kids Fun Run and Mascot Dash (registration fee required).
