I know I've said before about how much I enjoy these productions. I encourage all of you to choose a night and go see a show.

If you or your child were not happy with the school photo this year, picture retake days are scheduled Nov. 5 at Salisbury Middle School and Nov. 6 for SHS. Make sure to bring the pictures you are returning to school that day.

Western Salisbury Elementary School is starting their parent invitation to lunch days for the year. Parents of fifth graders are invited to bring their student's favorite lunch or try a school lunch and eat in the cafeteria Nov. 12. Information about this will be sent home from school.

If you have students at WSE, remember to check out the school website. New pictures of school activities are posted frequently. Right now there are pictures of a fire assembly, parent visitation day and the kindergarten field trip to the pumpkin patch.

All buildings in the Salisbury Township school system will be closed on Election Day, Nov. 4.

The Salisbury Twirlers will host a basket bingo fundraiser Nov. 9. It will be at the middle school with doors opening noon and bingo starting 1 p.m.

There is a school district operations committee meeting 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at Harry S Truman Elementary School and a curriculum committee meeting 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Lehigh Carbon Technical Institute.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will host its monthly breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 8. A donation is suggested, with all proceeds benefitting the 275th anniversary celebration.

The Devonshire drop off yard waste site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 1 and 4.

SMS Prosper continues with their monthly fundraiser of Market Day restaurant-quality food. Visit www.marketday.com or call Dixie at 610-351-6156 for more information.

SHS student government is holding a food drive Nov. 3 through 14. All food collected will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Donations will earn school spirit points which are tallied at the end of the year for the Falcon Cup. The Falcon Cup is given to the class who displays the most school spirit throughout the year.
