Your look ahead at Valley Arts

Grand illusion: David Caserta has performed around the country for the last 20 years presenting his unique style of grand illusion. Back by popular demand, his "Haunted Illusions" returns to the State Theatre Center for the Arts, 7 p.m. Oct. 25, and is sure to be fun for the entire family. Featured in this year's performance are several illusions that Caserta spent up to six years developing. You'll be stunned and amazed as master illusionist Caserta has people levitating, disappearing and reappearing right before your eyes. You will witness never-before-seen illusions that have been created just for this show. Families will thrill, laugh and possibly vanish from sight at a magic spectacular like no other. What better way to celebrate Halloween than with an incredible night of magic? Tickets: State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton St., Easton; statetheatre.org, 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132

Canal-O-Ween: The City of Easton and the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor are hosting a new Halloween event at Hugh Moore Park, "Haunted Hugh Moore Park," featuring a "ghostly canal boat ride," traditional Halloween activities and a "ghost walk" based on a local historical event, 6:30 - 9 p.m. Oct. 24, 25, 30 and 31. Passengers will take a canal boat ride that introduces "the ghosts that haunt the Lehigh Canal." After the boat ride, passengers will take a "ghost walk" from the National Canal Museum to the locktender's house next to the Chain Dam. Along the way, they'll meet "ghosts" involved in an 1898 crime in Freemansburg. Professional storyteller Judy England-McCarthy recalls the origin of Halloween around a bonfire, followed by a pumpkin hunt and bobbing for apples. Refreshments will be served.
