The Emmaus High School Drama Department will open its 2013-2014 theater season with "Pride and Prejudice," Jon Jory's adaptation of the classic novel by Jane Austen, bringing to the stage one of the most cherished love stories in English literature.

Elizabeth Bennet's pride leads her to misjudge Fitzwilliam Darcy on the basis of a poor first impression, while Darcy's prejudice against Elizabeth's lower social standing initially blinds him to her many virtues. Both characters must come to terms with their pride and prejudice in order to realize their true love.
