Fair game: The 161st annual Great Allentown Fair continues through Sept. 2, Labor Day, with rides, games, food, exhibits by farmers, gardeners and homemakers and Fairgrounds Grandstand shows. Shows on the headliner stage continue with Austin Mahone, Bridgit Mendler, 7 p.m. Aug. 28; Zac Brown Band, above, 7 p.m. Aug. 29; Luke Bryan, Thompson Square, Florida Georgia Line, 7 p.m. Aug. 30; Toby Keith, Kim Moore, 7 p.m. Aug. 31, and Jeff Dunham, 8 p.m. Sept. 1. The Zac Brown Band is featuring "Uncaged," its fifth album that received a Grammy award for Best Country Album in February. A McCoole's place: Just when you thought the Lehigh Valley concert scene couldn't get any busier, there's a new venue: "Parlor Concerts at McCoole's," with Bill Frisell, above, 8 p.m. Sept. 8. The lineup for the theater venue at McCoole's at Red Lion Inn, 4 S. Main St., Quakertown, which began in June with John Hammond, includes Jim Lauderdale, Oct. 25; Tinsley Ellis, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2; BeauSoleil, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16; Louden Wainwright III, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5; The Persuasions, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12; and John McEuen, 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Of the he cozy 182-seat venue, Parlor Concert series co-founder Tom Malm says, "We only have four rows in our center section and seven rows in the wings. What Parlor Concerts at McCoole's is trying to deliver is a boutique concert experience. The sound was perfected through over 100 hours of engineering, testing and evaluation."
