Upper Milford Historical Society meets 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Municipal Building, Old Zionsville. Attendees should bring something to share, discuss, inquire about, show, etc. for Discovery Night. All are welcome; refreshments will be provided. For additional information, call 610-966-4376.

The Lehigh Valley Chapter 1371 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will conduct their monthly meeting noon at St. Peters Lutheran Church community room, 1933 Hanover Ave., Allentown, starting with lunch. A brief business session will conclude the meeting. All current and former Federal workers are invited to attend. First timers and those wishing to have lunch are asked to call Ken Zeiner at 610-419-0739 before May 25. There is a cost for the lunch. Dave Tettemer of the Bonsai Society of Lehigh Valley will give a talk on the history of bonsai and show some examples of different styles of bonsai 6:30 p.m. in the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Bonsai is the art of growing dwarfed, ornamentally shaped trees or shrubs in small shallow pots or trays. Tettemer is a past president of the BSLV and the current President of the MidAtlantic Bonsai Societies. He has received numerous "People's Choice" awards and in 2008 received the "Best in Show" award for a Japanese larch tree displayed at the regional MidAtlantic Bonsai Societies Convention. Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon, at St. Timothy's Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. "Captain Radio" aka Joe Hehn will take attendees on a journey through the glory days of radio. Remember sitting around your radio listening to your favorite show? Who was your favorite star? Relive the memories through the knowledge of "Captain Radio." Everyone is welcome. The Lower Milford Township Fire Company will hold a carnival 6 to 10:30 p.m. through June 15. All proceeds benefit the fire company. Special entertainment 7 p.m. each night with fireworks June 14.
