Chuck Kalan, who created the character, has been the king in the Alburtis May Day Festival for 27 years. This was a special year for the May Day Festival because of Alburtis Borough celebrating its centennial. These previous Queens of May Day are still participating in the Alburtis May Day Festival. Beth Patterson and Alexis Keeler were both chosen to be Queen in 2012. Holli Schoch and Danielle Ruff were both chosen to be Queen in 2010. Alyssa Romig was Queen in 2008 and Kristy White was Queen in 2009.
