Joseph Nicholas Marks, 77, of Emmaus, died January 18, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Betty B. (Bayer) Marks. They were married for 53 years. Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Camillo and Ethel (Karmann) Marks.

He worked in construction for many years, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Macungie Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Michael J. and his wife Michele of Cape Coral, Fla. and Joseph N. Jr. and his wife Tara, of Alburtis; daughters, Suzette S. and her husband Garry Flores, of Whitehall, Pamela A. of Allentown, and Nicole J. and her husband John Ronco, of Roswell, Ga.; sisters, Barbara Bower, of Alburtis, Sylvia Bleiler, of Breinigsville, and Joan Moyer, of Kutztown; grandchildren, Garry Flores Jr., Luke, Alexis, Isabella, and Italia Ronco, and Lorah; great-granddaughter, Sophia Flores.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4571 Indian Creek Road, Macungie. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
