Nov. 29

The Upper Milford Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. in the Upper Milford Municipal Building, Zionsville. Ken Moyer will speak about the Molly Maguires.

The Lehigh Valley Chapter 1371 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will conduct their monthly meeting beginning noon in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church community room, 1933 Hanover Ave., Allentown.

Nov. 30

The Emmaus Historical Society will unveil its redesigned train putz in a winter wonderland display 5 to 9 p.m. at their museum, 563 Chestnut St., Emmaus.

The Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will hold their sixth annual Holiday Book Sale and Reception 6 to 9 p.m. in the Margaret Knoll Gardner room of the library. The Emmaus High School Jazz Ensemble will play seasonal music while shoppers have the opportunity to sample wine, cheese and punch.

Dec. 1

The Governor Wolf Historical Society will hold its 32nd annual Christmas House Tour of historic homes and landmarks 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Six historic homes and the GWHS campus will be open and decorated for the holidays by local florists. The campus will also feature crafters in all three buildings, a wreath and swag sale, hearth cooking and complimentary refreshments. For more information, visit www.govwolf.org or call 610-873-9015.

The Emmaus Main Street Partners will present "Old Fashioned Christmas" in Emmaus. The array of events will include holiday storytelling at Emmaus Public Library 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., open houses with children's crafts and activities at many of Emmaus' historical landmarks noon to 4 p.m., holiday dance selections by Allegro Dance Studio 4 p.m. at Triangle Park, horse and carriage rides 4 to 7 p.m. at Triangle Park, Hot roasted almonds and chestnuts sold by Boy Scouts 4 to 7 p.m., holiday music on the Triangle with performances 4:30, 5 and 5:30 p.m., an Emmaus Kiwanis Club cocoa and cookie bar sale 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Triangle Park.. The event will culminate with a community sing-along, the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus and the Emmaus tree lighting ceremony.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 9th and Emaus Avenue, Allentown, will be holding their Christmas Bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be handmade items, wreaths, candles, jewelry, carved wood, a raffle and various food items.

Dec. 2

The Emmaus Farmers Market will host customer appreciation day at the winter market. There will be complimentary hot beverages and food. Visitors will be able to enter a drawing for a holiday basket full of goodies from market vendors.

Dec. 6

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 140 South Ott Street, Allentown. They will hold their annual membership recognition luncheon and the program will be led by Singer Claude Shappell. A business meeting will follow the program. Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable item for the food bank.

Dec. 8

Hosfeld Insurance, LLC, 19 East Main St., Macungie, is holding a hat drive to help keep kids with cancer warm this season. They will be accepting new, handmade or store-bought hats at their open house or anytime 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are inviting members of the community to donate. The hats will be donated to the pediatric oncology unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg.

Kutztown's Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center will host "Christmas on the Farm" 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature folk-life demonstrations, traditional crafters, children's activities and more. There will also be cookies and cider by a warming bonfire.

Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host their annual cookie walk 8 a.m. to noon. Homemade Christmas cookies and candy will be sold by the pound. For more information, call 610-966-5115 or 610-966-5220.

Dec. 9

Huff's Church, Hereford Township, will hold a country Christmas open house 3 to 6 p.m. Visitors can enjoy live music as they walk through the church to view the holiday decorations. Guests are welcome to dress up to take a family photo in front of a Nativity scene. All ages can enjoy a Christmas decoration scavenger hunt.

Dec. 15

Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host a bake sale and an all you can eat breakfast 7 to 11 a.m. There will be a cost for guests six and over. The public is welcome to attend.

Dec. 18

The Macungie Minstrelaires will perform a holiday program 6 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. Please bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the Zionsville Food Pantry.
