Q: What grade are you in?

A: I recently graduated from 12th grade.

Q: What was your favorite subject? Why?

A: Mathematics because it involved a lot of creativity.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I recently received both a National Merit Scholarship Award sponsored by Air Products, and the 2012 Donley Awards for Excellence. I also received the Richard Gaal Memorial Good Citizenship Award.

Q: Were you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I was a member of the varsity tennis team for four years as well as a member of FBLA, Model UN for the past three years. I also enjoy tutoring in my spare time.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: To major in mathematics at Penn State University and hopefully become a university professor.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: Balancing work and free time in such a way that I never get bored.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: My commitment to helping others.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My dad Shankar, mom Soundarya and brother Gopal.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: Great thinkers from Newton to Feynman.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: Don't make performing well in school its own end. Keep the bigger picture in mind.
